Each year we look forward to Littleton Youth Ballet’s Storybook Ballet performance.  And our holiday season isn’t complete without seeing their presentation of The Nutcracker. We’re always impressed with how the joyfulness of the dancers, at all levels, spills off the stage leaving audience members transfixed. From the performances to the set to the volunteers that staff each event, the entire experience is pure magic. We wouldn’t miss a single production, and you shouldn’t either!

We've attended several productions of LYB's Nutcracker and continue to be amazed at the level of professionalism in the choreography and staging with the talent of the dancers and use of professional backdrops and costuming!   When we first attended we thought the older ballet dancers were adults with years of ballet experience.  We were amazed to notice these dancers were actually teenagers, as they mingled through the lobby after the shows.   Overall, this production of the Nutcracker represents a very well trained cast and executed theatrical presentation.

The Nutcracker was a beautiful production from start to finish. There were 5 different casts and each brought their own excellence to the stage. The costumes, sets, and choreography enhanced the professionalism of the production. It is obvious that the school instructors are excellent and we look forward to making this part of our Christmas traditions every year!!

Years ago, when my daughter was 4, we went and saw The Nutcracker for the first time.  She was so enthralled, she announced that she desperately wanted to dance in a production sometime.  We did our research on which studios perform on a regular basis and found Littleton Ballet Academy.  Now, she is 13 and has been participating in the yearly Nutcracker performances since 2018.  She has loved it so much, her younger brother now dances, as well.  Not only does LBA produce outstanding and professional-quality performances, they are gifted at meeting each child's specific needs, challenging them when they need a push, encouraging them when they doubt themselves, and mold them into the best human beings each child can be.  My daughter has grown from a shy, quiet, introverted girl into a confident, yet humble human being with big dreams to continue dancing as an adult.  My son, who struggles with delays in gross motor skills, has grown incredibly since beginning dance and I am so grateful to the teachers for working through his limitations and not allowing them to stop him.  The staff, dancers and their families are part of our family now, and it feels so wonderful to have a dance home.  We love this studio and everything about it!
